Noledge acquires Pimbrook to expand in Ireland & UK

The Noledge Group has acquired accounting and payroll software provider Pimbrook, expanding its presence in Ireland and the UK.
The deal is expected to increase revenue at the enlarged group from €5.7 million in 2025 to €10 million by the end of 2026. It will also bring headcount to 67 and add a fourth office to existing locations in Dublin, Belfast and Newcastle.
Based in Waterford and operating from Tramore, Pimbrook has spent more than 20 years supplying Sage accounting and payroll software and related services to small and medium-sized businesses. It serves 1,750 organisations across Ireland and the UK, including companies in manufacturing, construction and healthcare.
Pimbrook will retain its brand and continue to operate as a standalone company. Its 14 employees, including managing director Stephanie Davies and operations director Tom Shields, will join the wider group.
The transaction increases Noledge's customer base to more than 2,000 across Ireland and the UK. The group already includes Envisage, a Sage partner, and OSSM, a NetSuite solution provider.
Regional expansion
For Noledge, the acquisition provides a base in the south east of Ireland and extends its reach beyond Dublin. The move comes as software providers seek scale in markets serving customers from smaller domestic firms to larger organisations with more complex financial management needs.
Pimbrook's addition is expected to strengthen Noledge's offering to smaller customers in particular. The combined group will also be able to offer a broader range of financial management and ERP products across different parts of the market.
Chief executive Ray Ryan outlined the rationale for the deal.
"The synergy between our two companies and the alignment in our expertise makes this acquisition a natural fit. It represents a significant growth opportunity for Noledge and our expected revenue increase reflects the strength of the combined businesses. We also recognise the huge advantages of regional investment, and we plan to tap into Pimbrook's impressive presence in the South East to continue to grow the business outside of Dublin. The move strengthens our market position as a leading provider of financial management software and ERP solutions that are tailored to customers' needs and, in turn, drive faster growth for businesses," Ryan said.
Pimbrook has built its business around Sage software for small and medium-sized enterprises, a part of the market where many companies still rely on a mix of accounting, payroll and administrative systems. The acquisition gives Noledge access to a sizeable installed customer base that may also need broader ERP and financial management systems as they grow.
That could prove significant in a market where software vendors and implementation partners are trying to deepen relationships with existing customers rather than rely solely on new sales. By combining Sage-focused and NetSuite-related operations under one group, Noledge is positioning itself to serve businesses at different stages of development.
Customer base
Pimbrook's leadership is expected to remain in place after the transaction. That continuity may reassure customers who have worked with the company for years and want day-to-day support and service to continue without disruption.
Stephanie Davies said the combined business would remain focused on existing relationships.
"Our hands-on, customer-focused approach has enabled us to build long-standing relationships with Irish SMEs at various stages of growth. Both Pimbrook and Noledge prioritise deep customer relationships and, as we move forward together, that commitment to our combined customers will be key. The expanded company will equip businesses with an enhanced suite of tools that will support their continued growth and innovation. Our shared purpose and core values will also enable the group to accelerate its own growth and cement its place as a leader in the market," Davies said.
The deal is another example of consolidation among software resellers and service providers serving finance and back-office functions. As businesses in Ireland and the UK review accounting, payroll and ERP systems, suppliers with broader product portfolios and wider geographic coverage are seeking to capture more of that spending.
By keeping the Pimbrook name within the wider group, Noledge is combining expansion with a local brand that already has a long-established customer base in the south east and across the SME market.
