Pattern appoints Luke Elliott to drive European eCommerce growth

Tue, 18th Nov 2025

Pattern has appointed Luke Elliott as Vice President of Ecommerce, Europe. The move sees Elliott take responsibility for eCommerce growth and marketplace strategy for Pattern's European clients. He brings over two decades of experience across both business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors.

Leadership appointment

Elliott joins Pattern from Amazon, where he led Amazon Business Europe sales teams and provided oversight to 1P Vendor Management across multiple categories. His background includes nine years in senior leadership roles at Amazon. In these positions, he supported enterprise clients in modernising procurement and scaling digital commerce operations in European markets.

Prior to his time at Amazon, Elliott held senior roles at Tesco and Sysco (Brakes Foodservice), focusing on building and scaling wholesale and foodservice operations on an international level. This cross-sector experience covers both brick-and-mortar retail and digital commerce environments.

Strategic focus

At Pattern, Elliott will focus on advancing data-driven execution and marketplace strategy for clients operating in Europe. He will be responsible for helping brands optimise digital performance and drive growth on eCommerce marketplaces.

"Luke's appointment marks a significant step forward in our commitment to helping brands grow in Europe's increasingly complex and dynamic eCommerce landscape. His deep understanding of the eCommerce marketplace, paired with a track record of building scalable commercial strategies, will be a powerful driver of value for our clients, and we couldn't be more excited to have him as part of our leadership team," said Hugh Hinkson, Chief Commercial Officer, Pattern.

Industry background

Elliott's previous work also involved consultancy for processes on both sides of transactions in physical and digital settings. His experience is expected to help Pattern clients simplify commercial processes and support scalable growth via digital platforms.

"Across my career, I've worked on both sides of the transaction, buying and selling, across physical retail and digital commerce. I'm driven by reducing complexity and making commercial processes clear, predictable, and scalable so brands can grow faster, and buyers can transact without friction. I'm excited to bring that philosophy to our European clients to help them unlock growth through data-driven execution and the strength of Pattern's technology," said Luke Elliott, Vice President of Ecommerce, Europe, Pattern.

The company stated that Elliott's appointment reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in eCommerce leadership and supporting brands seeking to improve performance on digital marketplaces throughout Europe.
