Westcon lists Weblib Smart Wifi on AWS Marketplace
Westcon-Comstor has signed an agreement with Weblib that places the Wi‑Fi software vendor's products on AWS Marketplace through private listings managed by the distributor.
The arrangement makes Westcon-Comstor the first distributor to privately list Weblib software products in AWS Marketplace, according to the companies. It also extends access for partners in the UK and other markets across Europe and the Middle East.
Partners can buy Weblib's cloud-based Smart Wifi product from Westcon-Comstor through AWS Marketplace private listings. Partners can then sell the product to end customers through AWS Marketplace.
AWS route
Weblib becomes the latest software vendor to join Westcon-Comstor's AWS Marketplace programme. Westcon-Comstor launched the programme in 2024.
Westcon-Comstor positions the programme as a route for channel partners working through AWS Marketplace. The distributor said the programme uses the AWS Designated Seller of Record model.
Westcon-Comstor said it provides specialist support and advisory and consulting services through an in-house team. The distributor also said it now offers multi-currency functionality.
Westcon-Comstor also highlighted support for multi-product solutions in AWS Marketplace. The company described this as a capability that allows partners to combine multiple products and services into a single offer for specific industries and customer use cases.
Vendor network
Westcon-Comstor said other vendors participating in its AWS Marketplace programme include Cisco and Juniper Networks. The distributor described both as technology partners of Weblib.
The agreement also builds on an existing relationship between Westcon-Comstor and Weblib. The companies said they have worked together in France for a number of years. They expanded their distribution agreement across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region a year ago.
Smart Wifi
Weblib is based in Paris. The company sells what it calls intelligent Wi‑Fi software, including Smart Wifi offerings aimed at retail use cases.
Weblib said its approach combines network control with privacy-compliant insight into usage behaviour. It said its products are used across retail, hospitality, education and healthcare.
The companies linked the AWS Marketplace move to broader changes in cloud procurement. Omdia has forecast that channel partners will facilitate 59% of a projected USD $163 billion spend through hyperscaler cloud marketplaces in 2030, according to Westcon-Comstor.
Westcon-Comstor said partners often look for shorter sales cycles and clearer commercial outcomes when they transact via cloud marketplaces. The distributor also linked marketplace activity with return on investment, without giving figures for its own programme.
Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor, said the agreement expands the scope of the relationship with Weblib and adds to the distributor's marketplace activity.
"This agreement deepens our partnership with Weblib and enhances our AWS Marketplace programme," said Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor. "By enabling our partners to leverage innovative solutions like Weblib's, we're helping them capitalise on AWS Marketplace growth and succeed in today's cloud-driven economy."
Weblib said it views the move as part of its plans outside its home market. The company also highlighted the way partners can package and deploy the service through AWS Marketplace.
"The integration of our Smart Wifi captive portal solution into AWS Marketplace via Westcon-Comstor is a major milestone in our international expansion," said Sébastien Bloch, Vice President of Sales at Weblib. "This streamlined model enables partners to rapidly deploy secure, personalised guest experiences. By leveraging the AWS cloud, we are helping businesses transform their Wifi infrastructure into a powerful tool for customer engagement and operational performance."
The companies said partners in the UK and other European and Middle East markets will be able to buy and sell Weblib products through the private listing model on AWS Marketplace under the agreement.
