Vytalise launches Shopify Plus DTC store across Europe

Fri, 30th Jan 2026

The Commerce Team Global has successfully delivered a new Shopify Plus direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce platform for Vyta Health's Vytalise brand, which is now live across the UK and the European Union.

This launch signifies a strategic transition for Vyta Health, which previously utilised Magento for its eCommerce operations. The move to Shopify Plus is designed to support Vytalise as the company expands its presence into further European markets.

Led by The Commerce Team Global, the implementation focused on creating a bespoke DTC experience tailored specifically to health and wellness shoppers. The project involved a comprehensive overhaul of the digital storefront, including significant enhancements to product pages, the shopping basket, and the checkout process to streamline the customer journey.

Platform Shift

Vyta Health's migration replaces its legacy Magento system with what the company describes as a more flexible, scalable, and mobile-first platform. This rollout comprehensively covers both the UK and EU markets.

The Commerce Team Global led the development, building optimised product detail pages and implementing a streamlined basket and checkout flow. These enhancements are supported by strategic promotional messaging integrated throughout the customer journey.

The new Shopify Plus build also features a seamless integration with Klaviyo, an email marketing and customer messaging platform widely used by eCommerce brands. Furthermore, the implementation introduces dedicated subscription functionality, allowing Vytalise to foster long-term customer loyalty and recurring revenue.

Subscriptions Focus

Subscription features form part of a wider retention approach. The release positioned subscriptions alongside customer lifetime value as a priority for the platform.

Many health and wellness brands have leaned on subscriptions for repeat purchase of vitamins and supplements, often pairing them with email and SMS marketing. Shopify has expanded its support for subscription models in recent years through apps and partner integrations.

The Commerce Team Global also highlighted a content element that sits alongside commerce functions. The platform includes editorial content that the company said is science-backed and focused on wellbeing decision-making.

Content Layer

The inclusion of educational content reflects a broader trend in health and wellness eCommerce, where brands often combine product merchandising with guidance on ingredients, usage and product selection. This approach has become more common as competition increases and customer acquisition costs rise across performance marketing channels.

Paul Sanderson, CEO, The Commerce Team Global, framed the project as a foundation for future activity.

"For Vytalise, this launch creates a strong foundation for what comes next. They now have a DTC platform built for the future, supporting commercial growth today while giving the business the flexibility to evolve, scale and move faster as their ambitions grow," said Paul Sanderson, CEO, The Commerce Team Global.

The Commerce Team Global described the project as part of its broader focus on Shopify DTC implementations, noting its extensive work with brands across the retail, health, and wellness sectors.

The launch transitions Vytalise to Shopify Plus during a period when many mid-sized brands are reassessing their platform choices. A growing number of businesses have moved away from complex, self-hosted setups in favour of SaaS platforms, particularly when scaling internationally or integrating features such as localisation, subscriptions, and marketing automation.

While The Commerce Team Global did not disclose the financial value of the project, nor provide specific figures regarding expected traffic or conversion growth, the strategic intent is clear. Vyta Health's subsequent steps are expected to focus on managing the platform across multiple European markets and expanding its DTC presence through the newly optimised storefront and its various marketing integrations.
