Castles to supply Android payment terminals for Loomis Pay

Thu, 29th Jan 2026

Castles Technology has won a European rollout with Loomis Pay, supplying Android-based payment terminals and related management tools after a pilot deployment in Norway.

The agreement covers Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Spain. Loomis Pay plans to deploy Castles' portable, PIN pad and unattended terminals across its POS and payments platform.

Loomis Pay operates as the POS and digital payments division of Loomis. The company offers card and digital payments alongside cash handling options for merchants that want a combined arrangement.

Devices and tools

Loomis Pay selected Castles after what both companies described as an extensive market review. Loomis Pay will use Castles' S1F4 Pro portable terminal, the S1P2 PIN pad and the S1U2M4 unattended device.

The rollout also includes Castles' CasHUB TMS and Marketplace. The companies positioned these tools as part of the wider deployment across Loomis Pay's POS and payment services.

Software development

Castles and Loomis Pay worked with Seitatech on software for the devices and integration with Loomis Pay's POS and payment gateway. Seitatech describes itself as a Finnish payments specialist.

The companies said the work covered a full software suite for the terminals. They also stated that the project connected the terminals to Loomis POS and the payment gateway.

The pilot in Norway placed Castles devices in 17 locations. Loomis Pay said it plans to add further sites as part of the move from trial to wider deployment.

Initial markets

The first phase covers Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Spain. Loomis Pay said it will deploy the devices at scale across these countries.

The companies described the plan as a way for Loomis Pay to offer merchants a choice of payment methods. Loomis Pay said its platform connects POS, payments and cash handling, where needed, under a single arrangement.

Castles said it works with banks, merchants, fintechs, acquirers, independent software vendors and payment service providers. It noted that it has deployed millions of POS terminals globally.

Loomis Pay said it supports thousands of merchants across its operating markets. It mentioned that merchants can combine card, cash and digital payments and add modules as their business grows.

"We are honored to support Loomis Pay in its mission to attract new customers," said Jean-Philippe Niedergang, Acting Group CEO and EMEA-PACIFIC-LATAM CEO, Castles Technology. "Our Android devices delivers the innovation, reliability, and agility required to lead in the fast changing payments landscape. With Loomis Pay's expertise, agility, and strategic growth plans we are excited to be part of their journey."

"As a leader in innovation within cash, POS, and payments, Loomis is executing a clear strategic plan to transform the European cash, payments and POS market," said Erik Zingmark, MD Loomis Pay & CEO Loomis Digital Solutions AB, Loomis Pay.

Loomis Pay is expanding its installation base across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Spain, and the firms have stated that the rollout will continue beyond the initial deployment in Norway. Additional sites are anticipated to be implemented as part of this expansion.
