Canon UK has unveiled an expansion to its i-SENSYS and i-SENSYS X line of A4 printers. The technology giant will add six new devices to these ranges, enhancing reliability and productivity for its channel partners.
The newly updated i-SENSYS devices showcase improved features including a 30% boost in scanning performance, contributing to faster work rates and lower energy use. This aligns with the broader trend of businesses seeking to improve their environmental sustainability. The i-SENSYS models also boast a modernised user interface and display settings, lending greater user-friendliness and facilitating a streamlined workflow. A key addition to these printers includes compatibility with Canon's acclaimed uniFLOW software. This security solution for print and scan operations empowers organisations to manage their print environment through the cloud, thereby providing robust data protection.
A press statement revealed that the newly launched i-SENSYS products consist of two models, C1538iF II and C1533iF II, which have transitioned from the imageRUNNER to the i-SENSYS X brand. These printers are beneficial to customers seeking easier document and information management. Furthermore, they bolster Canon’s existing hardware selection and supplement its broader Digital Transformation Services ecosystem. This enables partners to offer a more comprehensive range of Canon print solutions, addressing a spectrum of customer needs.
One of the standout features of the i-SENSYS and i-SENSYS X range is its commitment to fostering sustainability. The updated range has a lower TEC compared to previous models of up to 0.39kwH and reduces energy consumption by applying toner at lower temperatures. As evidence of their commitment to greener operations, Canon's A4 line-up was recently recognised as the "Most Energy Efficient Laser A4 Brand" by Keypoint Intelligence for the years 2023 to 2025.
The newly enhanced models also command robust security functionalities to ensure data confidentiality. With the latest firmware pre-installed and future updates available to download automatically, organisations can fortify their defences against potential threats.
Top-notch print quality and user-friendly display settings make the new i-SENSYS models a seamless addition to bustling work environments. These devices boast an average warm-up time of less than four seconds and scanning speeds of up to 190 images per minute.
