Yoono has appointed Ilan Davimes as Country Lead - Crown Dependencies and Strategic Clients, expanding its commercial leadership team.

Davimes will lead commercial development across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, while overseeing relationships with clients operating in several jurisdictions. The appointment comes as Yoono looks to expand its presence in the Crown Dependencies and strengthen ties with internationally active organisations in regulated sectors.

The role reflects rising demand for due diligence and regulatory compliance work in financial services markets linked to the islands. It also points to the growing complexity of client structures spanning multiple jurisdictions, which can make manual research harder for firms carrying out onboarding, know your customer and anti-money laundering checks.

Davimes brings more than 20 years of experience across financial services, professional services and technology. His previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of Wozipo Capital and senior positions at Makosi Audit and Tax.

Since moving to Jersey, he has worked on investor onboarding, KYC and AML processes in the island's funds sector. He later founded Nali Solutions, a fractional Chief Operating Officer and AI implementation consultancy.

Yoono launched commercially in 2026. Its platform brings together information from public sources to support investigations into individuals, companies and their relationships. The system is used for enhanced due diligence, onboarding, third-party risk management and regulatory compliance.

Market focus

The Crown Dependencies have become an important market for suppliers serving financial and professional services firms, particularly as regulatory scrutiny remains high and cross-border business structures become more common. Jersey and Guernsey recently underwent MONEYVAL evaluations, which review how jurisdictions tackle money laundering and terrorist financing risks.

Richard Tavernor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yoono, said Davimes was joining at a significant time for the business and the market it serves.

"Ilan joins us at a critical time. Both Jersey and Guernsey recently underwent MONEYVAL evaluations with strong results, raising the bar for regulated firms to show their due diligence is thorough, consistent and defensible. As client structures become more complex and span more jurisdictions, manual research across fragmented public sources is struggling to keep pace.

"The Crown Dependencies represent an important market for Yoono, with internationally connected financial and professional services sectors where effective due diligence and investigative intelligence are essential. Ilan's experience and strong understanding of the Jersey market will be instrumental as we strengthen our presence across the islands and develop relationships with strategic clients internationally. He brings a valuable combination of commercial leadership, entrepreneurial experience and first-hand knowledge of the industries we serve," Tavernor said.

The appointment adds local market knowledge at a time when compliance teams are under pressure to document how they assess customers and counterparties. Financial institutions, fund administrators and professional services firms in the islands often manage structures with links to several legal jurisdictions, increasing the volume of data staff must review and record.

This has created opportunities for specialist software providers that organise public data for compliance and investigations teams. Yoono says its platform can help firms make evidence-based decisions by presenting findings that can be reviewed and traced back to source material.

Career background

Davimes said trust remained central to commercial relationships even as AI tools reshape business processes.

"AI is changing the rules faster than anyone can predict, but people will always do business with people they trust. I've built my career on that principle, which is what makes Yoono such a natural fit.

"It's an exciting time to join the business, and I'm looking forward to helping take Yoono into its next phase of growth," Davimes said.
