ShipStation unveils free plan & smart analytics for UK retailers

Thu, 20th Nov 2025

ShipStation has expanded its platform for UK businesses, bringing new inventory management and analytics features alongside updated customer plans, including a free option for small-scale retailers.

Operational insights

The platform now provides seven new reporting dashboards aimed at giving merchants detailed visibility into their shipping activities. The analytics capability tracks product performance, sales trends, inventory status, warehouse efficiency, and the relationship between revenue and fulfilment costs. Merchants can forecast profitability and identify inefficiencies, making it possible to optimise both delivery times and shipping expenditure.

The analytics feature translates raw data into actionable information, intending to support strategic decision-making for shipment operations. This increased transparency allows businesses to evaluate their processes and spot opportunities for improvement.

Inventory solutions

ShipStation's update introduces enhanced inventory and warehouse management tools intended to resolve common issues such as overstocking and stockouts. The features include forecasting instruments that align stock levels with demand projections. New purchase order workflows are available to simplify stock reordering routines, and lot tracking enables batch management for traceability and compliance needs.

A mobile barcode scanning integration now streamlines inventory receiving and order picking. This integration is designed to reduce stock discrepancies and accelerate fulfilment stages. The inventory management functions build on capabilities introduced earlier in the year and offer compatibility with all major online selling channels.

Flexible plans

Three new customer plans have been launched to cater to businesses at various stages of growth. Businesses with lower shipping requirements now have access to a free plan, which the company says will support smaller retailers in better managing their operations without added cost. The plans include access to the new analytics suite and inventory tools, with features scaleable depending on operational size and needs.

Product focus

ShipStation's approach aims to combine efficiency with the use of data analytics, helping organisations focus on areas with the most impact on their bottom line.

"Whether shipping domestically or abroad, we're making it easier for UK merchants to automate and manage every stage of the fulfilment journey," said Kelly Vincent, Chief Product Officer, Auctane, ShipStation's parent company.

"Businesses across the country can now run their operations with smart, affordable tools and choose the features that best fit their unique needs. By combining efficiency with data intelligence, we're unlocking greater cost savings and helping customers make informed decisions so they can focus on expanding," said Vincent.
