Lemongrass & Radisson unite for SAP Cloud migration to AWS
Lemongrass, a software-enabled services provider renowned for SAP on Cloud, has announced a partnership with Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) to migrate RHG's entire SAP landscape to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Radisson Hotel Group chose Lemongrass due to their extensive expertise in migrating, operating, and optimising SAP workloads on the Cloud. One of the key factors in the decision was RHG's commitment to sustainability. By migrating to AWS's Stockholm region, known for its carbon-neutral operations, RHG aims to support its sustainability and governance objectives. This strategic move is expected to bolster Radisson Hotel Group's appeal to eco-conscious guests and business partners.
The project involves not just relocating existing systems to AWS but also optimising RHG's SAP landscape to maximise Cloud-native efficiencies. These include automation, data analytics, and cost optimisation, which aim to deliver enhanced customer experiences and drive loyalty. Given the complex requirements of RHG's extensive SAP systems, Lemongrass will employ its patented Minimum Downtime Operations (MDO) technology to ensure RHG's operations remain fully functional, thereby preventing any potential revenue losses while maintaining secure and performant systems.
Jaime Gonzlez-Peralta, CIO of Radisson Hotel Group, said, "The transition to AWS is more than just a technological upgrade; it is a transformational shift that empowers Radisson to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality industry. This migration will set a new standard in our operational capabilities, enabling us to significantly enhance our operational agility. It will also allow us to bring innovative solutions to market more rapidly, which are critical for personalising guest experiences and optimising our service delivery."
Michael Rosenbloom, CEO of Lemongrass, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Radisson Hotel Group is an innovative leader in the hospitality sector, and we are very honoured to be selected to assist them with their digital transformation. We look forward to our continued partnership with RHG and AWS to further modernise and support their SAP and Cloud initiatives."
Radisson Hotel Group sought a comprehensive strategy to integrate multiple operations and build a globally unified and scalable corporate IT infrastructure with an agile and cost-effective hosting solution. They selected Lemongrass as their migration partner due to its extensive expertise and successful track record in migrating, operating and optimising SAP workloads on the Cloud. Notably, Lemongrass manages over 8,000 SAP servers and more than 750,000 SAP users, providing clients with near-zero downtime migrations and operations for SAP and its related workloads.
Updates regarding their Cloud transformation project with AWS and Lemongrass will be presented by RHG at SAP Sapphire Barcelona. The session, titled "Radisson and the Power of Extreme Automation: A Success Story for CIOs," will be presented by Ross McGuire, Senior Director of SAP Cloud Transformation at Radisson Hotel Group.
