GSK & adesso expand DREAM digital reminders to 23 countries

Today

GSK has partnered with IT services provider adesso to introduce DREAM, a digital reminder service aimed at supporting patients with medication and vaccination adherence, which has now been deployed in 23 countries.

DREAM (Digital Reminders for Adherence of Medicines and Vaccines) was initially launched in five pilot markets and has since expanded to include regions such as the UK, Spain, Italy, and several emerging markets across the globe.

The primary objective behind DREAM is to assist patients in reliably sticking to their treatment regimens and ensuring attendance at scheduled vaccination appointments, addressing one of the persistent obstacles in effective healthcare management.

The system operates by sending individualised, easy-to-understand digital reminders that can be integrated into everyday routines, aiming to provide a straightforward yet effective solution to improve health outcomes and adherence.

To develop DREAM and make it suitable for international deployment across different regulatory environments, GSK sought a technology partner with robust experience and flexibility. Working in collaboration, GSK and adesso created a scalable and adaptable technical framework for the service.

Necati Sebe, Head of Commercial Operations and Strategy at GSK, said: 'One of core values at GSK is to make a positive impact on people's lives. With DREAM, we have created a pioneering solution to improve adherence to medications and vaccinations. We chose adesso because their team works with flexibility, focus and exceptional commitment – even when faced with complex challenges. This partnership has enabled us to create a simple solution for a complex problem.'

adesso UK has contributed to the ongoing development and implementation of DREAM for approximately 18 months. The partnership facilitated the adaptation of the service to meet the requirements of multiple international healthcare systems.

Libero Raspa, Managing Director at adesso UK, said: 'GSK is a strong brand with a clear vision: to improve everyday life for patients through digital solutions. With our agile approach, we were able to guide the project dynamically and resolve challenges quickly in close coordination. DREAM is a great example of how technology can deliver tangible impact – for better healthcare around the world.'

The collaboration between GSK and adesso, according to both organisations, is being positioned as a foundation for future digital health initiatives that focus on patient engagement and supporting positive health behaviours worldwide.

DREAM's expansion from a limited pilot to widespread rollout reflects the ability to adapt digital healthcare solutions to different markets, including both established and emerging economies.

The partnership is expected to inform further projects in digital patient services, as GSK continues to integrate digital solutions in its approach to healthcare delivery across its international markets.
