Deliverect Retail boosts One Stop's online sales & accuracy

Wed, 2nd Oct 2024

Deliverect has announced the launch of Deliverect Retail, which aims to streamline the digital grocery ordering and delivery process. This new solution integrates grocery operations into a centralised system, facilitating order management, real-time sales tracking, and third-party delivery data access.

One Stop, a retail convenience chain with over 1,000 locations in the UK and a member of the Tesco Group, participated in early testing of Deliverect Retail. The company reported doubling its weekly sales, a 30% reduction in inaccurate orders, and a nearly two-minute decrease in pick time. Deliverect Retail enabled One Stop to manage its on-demand delivery operations at over 800 stores, significantly expanding its product range from 500 to over 3,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs).

Tim Josephs, Head of Online for One Stop, said, "Since launching Deliverect Retail, we've seen outstanding results. We've doubled our sales by being able to increase our product range from 500 to over 3,000 SKUs, which has driven significant sales growth and conversion. Additionally, our pick accuracy has improved by over 30%, and we expect that to continue improving. I couldn't imagine not having Deliverect. The features and benefits it has brought to our online business have been significant, and it's really moved us forward in the market."

Deliverect Retail integrates with over 1,000 applications, including Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Snappy Shopper. This allows retailers to manage catalogues and special offers through a single dashboard. Key features of Deliverect Retail include:

  • Quest App: The app offers smart listing, smart routing, barcode scanning, and one-tap amendment features. It helps pickers navigate stores efficiently and enables staff to flag out-of-stock items instantly across all third-party delivery platforms, reducing order delivery time by half.
  • Catalogue Management: Real-time inventory updates across all channels inform customers of current promotions and in-stock items before they place orders.
  • Dynamic Pricing: Retailers can change prices in bulk across entire categories, facilitating increased sales during peak hours and boosting revenues.
  • Data-driven Insights: Consolidated sales data from various sources are visually displayed in one dashboard, offering a comprehensive view of business performance.

Joe Heather, Deliverect's Regional GM of Northern Europe, commented, "The pandemic accelerated the shift to online grocery shopping with on-demand delivery gaining popularity. Now, grocery and convenience stores have a captive online shopping audience, but the overall digital shopping experience must be enhanced in order to increase sales. Online grocery sales should be a tremendous revenue opportunity, not a headache. Deliverect Retail is providing a single source of truth so that retailers can report the most accurate inventory data, capture relevant sales opportunities, and create exceptional customer experiences."

One Stop's successful use of Deliverect Retail underscores the potential for other grocery and convenience retailers to improve their digital operations. Deliverect Retail is now available in the UK, and other early adopters, such as Spar and EG Group, report significant improvements in efficiency and sales.
