Corsearch names Todd Morris as Chief Executive Officer

Corsearch has appointed Todd Morris as Chief Executive Officer as the brand protection and trademark intelligence company expands its work with large global businesses.
Morris brings more than three decades of experience in consumer and technology businesses. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of InMarket, a media and data company focused on artificial intelligence, and previously held senior roles at Procter & Gamble, Catalina and Label Insight.
The appointment comes as companies face growing pressure to protect brands across online marketplaces, digital content and customer channels. The spread of counterfeit goods, impersonation, unauthorised content, trademark conflicts and online fraud has pushed brand protection far beyond legal teams.
That shift reflects a broader change in how businesses measure value. Physical assets once dominated corporate balance sheets, but many companies now place greater emphasis on intangible assets such as brands, intellectual property and customer trust.
Artificial intelligence has added a new layer to the challenge. Tools that help businesses create and manage brands can also be used to copy content, mimic identities and scale fraudulent activity more quickly across borders and platforms.
Corsearch operates across trademark intelligence, online brand protection and content protection. It says it works with more than 5,000 organisations, including 73 of the Fortune 100, and employs more than 1,500 staff and specialists across North America, Europe and Asia.
Before joining Corsearch, Morris was Chief Executive Officer of InMarket. Earlier, he served as Global President of Catalina and led Label Insight as Chief Executive Officer before its acquisition by NielsenIQ.
Corsearch's Chair used the appointment to underline the company's focus on expansion and product development. It has been investing in artificial intelligence tools, proprietary data and expert-led services as clients seek more continuous monitoring of intellectual property risks rather than periodic enforcement.
Among the products it highlighted are Corsearch Zeal 2.0 and TrademarkNow. Those tools sit within a broader platform that links trademark search and monitoring with digital enforcement and content protection services.
Board backing
Jeff Hack, Chair of the Corsearch Board of Directors, described the board's view of the appointment.
"Todd's track record of building high-growth technology businesses, developing exceptional leadership teams and delivering measurable customer outcomes makes him uniquely qualified to accelerate our strategy and expand our global leadership position," said Jeff Hack, Chair of the Corsearch Board of Directors. "Artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping how businesses create, protect and grow brand value, and after an extensive global search, we are thrilled to have Todd leading Corsearch through this next chapter."
The comments reflect Corsearch's effort to position itself at the centre of a market where trademark management, anti-counterfeiting and online enforcement are becoming more closely linked. Companies that once treated these functions separately are increasingly seeking a single view of how risks emerge across eCommerce, social platforms, search and digital media.
For Corsearch, that has meant combining software, data and human review in one operating model. The company argues that brand risks now move too quickly online for businesses to rely solely on manual reviews or occasional legal action.
Strategic shift
Morris also framed the role in terms of broader business priorities rather than a narrow legal function.
"Protecting brands is no longer simply an intellectual property issue - it has become a business resilience issue, a customer trust issue and increasingly a boardroom priority," said Todd Morris, Chief Executive Officer of Corsearch. "What drew me to Corsearch is our unique ability to combine advanced AI with deep human expertise across the entire brand IP lifecycle. My first priority is to listen - to our customers and our employees - and build on the remarkable foundation already in place. Together, we have an opportunity not only to lead our industry, but to help define its future."
His comments suggest an early focus on customers and internal operations as he takes over leadership. They also reflect how brand protection has become tied to consumer trust, reputational risk and business continuity as online threats spread faster and become harder to contain.
Corsearch's client base gives it a sizeable foothold in that market. Working with 73 of the Fortune 100 places the business among a small group of providers serving large multinational companies that need trademark intelligence, enforcement and content protection across multiple territories and platforms.
The company enters its next phase with a new Chief Executive Officer and a market shaped by the rapid spread of AI tools, online fraud and counterfeit trade, alongside a customer list of more than 5,000 organisations.
