Trojan Electronics backs Kids2 in Tesco Marketplace debut
Trojan Electronics is set to support Kids2 in their expansion onto Tesco's newly relaunched online marketplace. This move includes brands such as Baby Einstein, Ingenuity, Bright Starts, and SwaddleMe by Ingenuity, facilitated by Trojan's multi-channel e-commerce expertise.
Tesco selected Trojan as one of the few third-party logistics (3PL) providers to assist in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sales.
Kids2, a company focused on creating solutions for early-stage parents and families, partnered with Trojan Electronics due to Trojan's established relationship with Tesco Marketplace. Utilising Trojan's proprietary technology, businesses without direct-to-consumer capabilities can list products across Trojan's network of marketplaces and direct-to-consumer platforms. Trojan's system is designed to help FMCG companies reach larger audiences efficiently.
Trojan Electronics debuted products on Tesco Marketplace last month, becoming one of the first 3PL providers to do so. This debut saw an impressive 200% increase in client sales within the first week, surpassing initial forecasts. Notably, the first sale on the new marketplace was for one of Trojan's clients.
James Rigg, CEO of Trojan Electronics, expressed optimism about the collaboration. "Since Tesco Marketplace relaunched in June, it has gone from strength to strength. We have already seen some great results for our clients and we're confident Kids2 will benefit from being an early adopter of the marketplace. Our goal is to provide seamless and efficient logistics solutions that enhance the customer experience and support the growth of FMCG brands."
"By ensuring that Kids2 products are delivered quickly and accurately, we are helping them to build stronger relationships with their customers and drive greater brand loyalty. We look forward to a successful collaboration that delivers smiles to families across the UK," he said.
Trojan will handle the inventory and streamline order processing and shipping operations for Kids2 using its advanced warehousing facilities in Swansea. The state-of-the-art fast-pick warehousing will play a key role in managing Kids2's inventory, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Keith Neely, Vice President of Ecommerce at Kids2, highlighted the significance of the partnership. "We chose Trojan due to its experience as one of the first 3PL providers on Tesco Marketplace. Launching on a new e-commerce platform is both exciting and challenging."
"Throughout the process, we have felt well-supported by the Trojan team. This partnership underscores our dedication to delivering a high-quality, seamless shopping experience for our customers and broadening the availability of Kids2 products," he commented.
This collaboration aims to enhance the online shopping experience for parents and caregivers by ensuring seamless product availability and timely delivery of Kids2's innovative and high-quality products. The joint effort between Trojan and Kids2 is expected to significantly improve the consumer experience and drive greater customer loyalty for the brands involved.
