Today

Park Place Technologies has acquired UK-based managed services provider CSI, marking one of the company's largest deals in its 34-year history.

CSI, established in 1983 and headquartered in the United Kingdom, specialises in delivering hybrid multi-cloud solutions tailored for legacy IBM systems. The company provides services to medium and large enterprises operating in highly regulated sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, and retail. Its offerings include Hybrid Cloud Services, Backup as a Service, Disaster Recovery, and Cybersecurity, with particular expertise in IBM Power Systems, storage solutions, and software.

This acquisition significantly enhances Park Place Technologies' managed services capabilities, expanding its offerings and technical proficiency across secure, modernised compute and storage infrastructure management. The move aims to address many enterprises' continuing reliance on complex legacy systems and the challenges they face in modernising these systems in an increasingly digital environment.

"This is an exciting time for Park Place Technologies. CSI Ltd. brings exceptional talent, deep hybrid cloud expertise, and a stellar reputation for service excellence. By joining forces, we're unlocking new possibilities for our customers worldwide, delivering smarter, more agile IT solutions that power transformation. This acquisition not only expands our capabilities, but it also accelerates our vision of becoming the world's most comprehensive, customer-focused IT lifecycle partner. We welcome CSI to the Park Place family and look forward to all we'll accomplish together," Chris Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer of Park Place Technologies, said.

CSI's approach to customer service closely aligns with Park Place Technologies, prioritising a flexible and secure route to modernisation for organisations managing digital transformation. The integration of CSI is expected to provide a more strategic and streamlined technological journey for customers dealing with legacy IBM infrastructure.

"As our clients accelerate their digital transformation journeys and embrace hybrid cloud solutions, CSI's role as a mission-critical partner has never been more vital. The opportunity to expand our reach and deliver even greater value—faster and at scale—is a significant and exciting step forward," Alan Watkins, Chairman of CSI Ltd, highlighted the importance of the partnership for the company's clients.

"Through our discussions with Park Place, it quickly became clear that we share a common vision and an unwavering commitment to service excellence. Joining the Park Place Technologies family is a natural next step—and one that brings exciting benefits to our clients, employees, and partners alike," Watkins stated, addressing the companies' strong cultural and strategic fit.

The deal positions Park Place Technologies to better serve enterprise customers worldwide, particularly those with complex IBM-based infrastructures requiring customised and high-touch services. Incorporating CSI is expected to accelerate innovation and value for clients, leveraging Park Place's global scale, extensive engineering resources, and commitment to a customer-first approach.

According to Park Place Technologies, the expanded service portfolio aims to help organisations improve operational efficiency whilst modernising critical systems, forming a foundation for future technological advancements such as AI.
