Malt appoints Lebarz as Chief Tech & AI Officer

Malt has appointed Claire Lebarz as its Chief Technology Officer while she continues in her role as Chief Data and AI Officer.

Claire Lebarz, who joined Malt in 2022, will also become a member of the company's Executive Committee. Lebarz has extensive experience in the technology sector, including a significant period at AirBnB where she was involved in data leadership and served as an advisor to several start-ups. Her appointment at Malt comes as the company seeks to further integrate data and AI into its operations.

During her tenure at Malt, Lebarz has led initiatives to enhance the platform's technical capabilities. One notable achievement was the launch of an AI-powered search function in November 2024, designed to streamline the process of matching businesses with freelancers, reducing the time needed from days to mere seconds.

Vincent Huguet, Malt's Co-Founder and CEO, commented on Lebarz's promotion by stating: "By becoming both Chief Technology Officer and Chief AI Officer, Claire Lebarz will accelerate Malt's growth and development as a tech company. Claire Lebarz's educational background includes graduating from Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées and UC Berkeley.
