Zellis launches HCM Cloud 8.0 for enhanced HR & payroll operations
Zellis, the provider of payroll and HR software to the UK and Ireland, has announced a series of product developments as part of the Zellis HCM Cloud 8.0 release, aimed at transforming the future of HR and payroll operations.
The new release includes notable updates to Power BI dashboard enhancements to support greater visibility and progress reporting. This development enables Zellis HCM Cloud customers to compare pay across different diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) characteristics, such as disability, identified gender, and marital status. This addition provides HR and payroll teams the opportunity to view employee commission alongside existing bonus pay data, thereby making the remuneration process measurable.
On another front, Zellis HCM Cloud 8.0 broadens the range of automated National Minimum Wage (NMW) calculations tied to crucial business process events. It provides automatic computation of NMW annual hours, ensuring the correct inclusion of employees who join mid-year for monitoring purposes and exceeding projected hours. This update also applies the NMW annual hour's calculation for employees who have not surpassed the annual hours threshold but terminate their employment partway through a pay period.
The release also introduces improvements to the Zellis Intelligence Platform (ZIP), including automated requests to support absence entitlement and fixed pay elements. This feature allows customers to build integrations for key events. Clients can now also create, store, and expose Dead Letter Events, thereby enabling HR teams to take suitable action. Furthermore, the expansion of ZIP schema will include data from Performance Development Reviews (PDR) and training, thereby increasing the data within Zellis HCM Cloud.
Chief Product Officer at Zellis, George Dunnett, commented on the 8.0 release stating, "These developments demonstrate our commitment to supporting customer needs through continued innovation. Zellis HCM Cloud is built for the modern enterprise and all the challenges and complexities that impact HR and payroll operations. The vast majority of our customer base has now upgraded to Zellis HCM Cloud and we're delighted to see our customers reaping the associated efficiency and productivity benefits."
There is ongoing work towards the development of the Zellis HCM Cloud Microsoft Dynamics HR connector which will facilitate a real-time flow of organisation, employee, and absence data from Microsoft Dynamics HR. Dunnett, speaking of the upcoming feature, said, "By developing a connector to Microsoft Dynamics HR we're adding further weight to our existing connector offering and strengthening Zellis's position as the best-in-breed HR and payroll solution for the UK and Ireland."
The 8.0 release also accommodates compliance around Guernsey pension auto-enrolment due to take effect from 1st July 2024, starting with employers having over 26 employees. These employers will need to auto-enrol their employees in YIP (Your Island Pension) or another approved pension scheme, with Zellis HCM Cloud supporting automatic enrolment and assessment, as well as pension scheme setup.
