Tradebyte & Shopify launch app to unify brand eCommerce growth

Tue, 2nd Sep 2025

Tradebyte has announced a new partnership with Shopify to introduce a plug-and-play integration aimed at simplifying how fashion and lifestyle brands scale their direct-to-consumer operations across Europe.

The newly launched Tradebyte Shopify App is designed to give brands centralised control over their Shopify store and more than 90 marketplace connections, consolidating operations within a single dashboard. The integration is intended to eliminate technical complexity and the need for custom development, enabling brands to accelerate their time-to-online and manage multichannel growth more efficiently.

System integration

The integration responds to ongoing challenges brands face due to system fragmentation, frequently leading to disconnected order management, a lack of unified data and significant manual reconciliation efforts. Tradebyte's TB.One system already manages high-quality product data and, with this latest integration, brands can easily extend this content to their Shopify store. This ensures that product information remains consistent and up-to-date across all channels, reducing administrative strain.

The Tradebyte Shopify App seeks to serve both current Tradebyte customers launching a Shopify store and existing Shopify users extending into broader marketplace sales. The solution offers several features, including a first-party, plug-and-play experience with no development work required.

Operational efficiency

Key operational benefits include centralised management of inventory, pricing and orders across all channels directly from the Tradebyte platform. This centralisation is expected to minimise manual work and reduce errors typically encountered in multichannel systems.

A further aspect is real-time stock synchronisation, which automatically updates inventory levels across all connected channels, lowering the risk of overselling or stockouts. The system also offers centralised reporting and metrics - including data on margins and sell-through rates - intended to support decision-making and identify commercial growth opportunities across regions and platforms.

The app's scalable architecture is intended to facilitate easier expansion into new markets and sales channels as brands grow and introduce more collections. Another feature is marketplace matchmaking, connecting brands with platforms that align with their commercial goals. The integration is positioned as a fast-track method for executing multichannel strategies and enabling faster time to gross merchandise value (GMV).

Industry commentary

"Our partnership with Tradebyte further empowers fashion and lifestyle brands on Shopify. It simplifies the complexity of multichannel growth and enables our merchants to seamlessly expand their reach across Europe's leading marketplaces while maintaining centralised control of their operations. It's about providing our brands with the tools they need to achieve unified commerce and accelerate their growth in a rapidly evolving eCommerce landscape," explained Apsara Chidambaram, Shopify Head of Alliances, EMEA.

Tradebyte Chief Executive Officer Matthias Schulte commented on the integration's objective to address core operational barriers for brands in the eCommerce sector.

"This integration eliminates the biggest headache in modern eCommerce: fragmented systems that slow down growth and increase costs. Now, with just one app, brands can manage their entire direct-to-consumer business, from their own eCommerce store to 90+ marketplace connections, all within a single control room. We are enabling fashion brands to grow faster, cut technical friction, and reduce time-to-online without overwhelming manual overhead."

Expansion and support

Tradebyte supports over 1,000 brands, with the integration allowing users to submit connection requests to activate Shopify integration. The company's broader portfolio connects to more than 90 marketplaces, including platforms such as ASOS, Zalando and TikTok Shop. Tradebyte, a Zalando subsidiary since 2016, provides brands with tools to optimise digital retail for sustainable and profitable growth, offering analytics and comprehensive control panels to support operations across marketplaces, webshops and fulfilment channels.

Users are able to book sessions with Tradebyte's Shopify specialists to explore the capabilities of the new app and understand how it supports unified commerce within the wider European market.
