Creatio appoints Whiting to boost European sales growth

Wed, 16th Apr 2025

Creatio has appointed Gareth Whiting as Senior Vice President of Sales in Europe to support its continued expansion in the region.

Gareth Whiting joins the company bringing two decades of experience from a range of technology firms, including SAP and Qlik, as the demand for digital tools and AI-powered solutions rises across European markets.

Creatio, which provides an AI-native no-code platform for automating customer relationship management (CRM) and workflows, has reported recent growth milestones, notably a USD $200 million funding round and reaching unicorn status. The company positions itself as a modern alternative to legacy CRM systems.

Whiting's previous roles at Qlik and Cockroach Labs focused on fostering transformation and rapid growth in expanding companies. His significant tenure at SAP is cited as equipping him with a strong foundation in established market leadership. Creatio stated that his appointment is intended to help consolidate its recent rapid growth and reinforce its place in the European AI and no-code market.

According to Creatio, Whiting's remit will include devising and implementing go-to-market strategies tailored for different vertical sectors, aiming for successful adoption of its no-code platform to improve operational efficiency for a range of industries across Europe. His experience in the financial services sector, particularly with banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) organisations, will be used to increase Creatio's reach among banks and credit unions. Target growth regions include the Nordics, Benelux, the UK, DACH, and Central Europe.

Gareth Whiting commented on his appointment, stating: "I'm very excited to be joining Creatio at such a pivotal time. The appetite for AI-powered solutions that deliver real business improvements is stronger than ever, and I was particularly drawn to the ease of deployment, composable nature and rapid results of Creatio's no-code platform, and how these elements of flexibility and customisation in a modern CRM will help enable customers to truly differentiate themselves in a crowded market. With Creatio's impressive recent growth and current leadership in this space, I can't wait to see how we'll continue to grow alongside our European customers."

Andy Zambito, Global Chief Sales Officer at Creatio, also commented: "Gareth's joining the team at an exciting time as we're doubling down on our European growth. His track record of building high-performing teams and driving results at both large enterprises and scale-ups makes him a perfect fit for our next phase. With the demand for AI-native, no-code CRM solutions skyrocketing, Gareth will help us open new doors, close bigger deals, and deliver even more value to customers across the region."

The move comes at a time when many European businesses are increasingly seeking digital transformation solutions that improve operational performance and provide flexibility to adapt to market pressures. Creatio's no-code approach, which allows organisations to design and deploy workflows and CRM tools without traditional coding skills, is being promoted as a means of enabling faster and more sustainable transformation initiatives.

In addition to growing its regional footprint, Creatio's strategy includes further engagement with new industry segments and deeper partnerships within its core verticals. The company reports that millions of workflows are launched on its platform daily by clients spread across more than one hundred countries.
