Wed, 21st Jan 2026

THG Studios has appointed Adam Mandelstam as Executive Creative Director and Rob Sanderson as Group Creative Director, as part of a strategic reshaping of its senior creative leadership team.

Based in Manchester, the creative marketing agency is a core component of THG Ingenuity, the division of THG that provides end-to-end eCommerce services, including global fulfilment and creative production, to external brands.

Leadership Changes

Mandelstam joins THG Studios with more than two decades of experience across international agencies. His previous roles include work at Ogilvy SA, TBWA Paris, M&C Saatchi and VML London.

His most recent position was Global Executive Creative Director at WPP. In that role he oversaw multi-agency teams working for global clients. He worked on brand narratives and wider strategy, according to the company.

THG Studios said Mandelstam has sports marketing experience. It linked that background to its client work.

Sanderson joins from Momentum Worldwide, part of McCann Worldgroup, where he held the position of Experience Design Director. THG Studios said he led accounts including Dyson and the Wimbledon X Amex Official Partnership.

The company said Sanderson has worked in branding and experiential activity. It also pointed to experience in luxury, drinks and beauty. THG Studios added that Sanderson has international experience across the Middle East and North Africa region. It cited large-scale branding and retail projects.

Agency Positioning

THG Studios positions itself as a creative marketing agency with brand strategy, creative services and production. It operates out of a 200,000 square foot creative space, according to the company. It works across campaigns, content creation, videography and photography.

THG Ingenuity describes its offering as eCommerce solutions for clients. It includes THG Commerce, THG Fulfil and THG Studios.

THG Studios said the two hires come as it continues to pursue growth and innovation. It pointed to a mix of creative, strategy and production technology within the wider business.

Management View

THG Ingenuity's Chief Brand and Marketing Officer oversees brand and marketing across the group.

"Adam and Rob are transformative creative leaders with proven track records of building iconic brands and delivering work that gets talked about. Their vast global experience and strategic vision are a perfect match for our ambitious goals. These appointments reinforce our commitment to driving innovation and growth for the brands and businesses we work with," said Hannah Pym, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, THG Ingenuity.

THG Studios did not disclose financial terms connected to the hires. It also did not detail any client wins or changes to its client roster alongside the appointments.

The two roles sit at the top of the agency's creative structure. Executive Creative Directors commonly oversee the creative direction across accounts and manage senior teams. Group Creative Directors often lead account-level creative delivery across a portfolio and manage creative directors and design leads.

THG Studios said it will use Mandelstam and Sanderson's backgrounds across brand strategy, experience design and production. It also linked the hires to its work for global clients.
